Jailed and Bailed!

The Master, Rob Wirszycz, has, you will hopefully be glad to hear, survived his incarceration and was released following the generosity of WCIT members who collectively stood his bail of £1,275. He is mightily grateful for their sympathy for his plight and their financial largesse.

Seriously though, the event was good fun with Sheriff / Judge Andrew Marsden humiliating about 20 Livery Masters before they were hauled off to the Tower of London, accompanied by a Beefeater gaoler, and treated to a spartan lunch (ok, it was Pol Roger champagne, fish pie and plum crumble) before our release.

Collectively we raised over £27,000 for the British Red Cross which, combined with a prior event earlier in the year, has raised a total of £75,000! These are vital funds for the BRC, with emergency work being undertaken in Morocco and Libya, amongst many other areas of need. Once again, thank you for your support.
