FinTech today is a hot topic and “behind the scenes” affects every one of us. As such, we were delighted to welcome 3 outstanding speakers to our November Event. Our Moderator Rob Wirszycz hosted the guest speakers and moderated the open forum discussion.

More than 99% of the UK private sector businesses are SMEs, and FinTech is the UK’s most substantial start-up sector, with over 1,400 high-growth FinTech firms currently active, with UK FinTech investments hitting £13.8bn in 2022. So, the support, nurturing, funding, and mentoring for FinTech and other tech scale-up companies is fundamental to the success of the UK market. Our discussion focused on the key steps in the growth of a SME – how to attract the right investment at the right time. It offered the attendees the ability to gain invaluable insight into the UK Tech world, the funding potential, ongoing innovation, the topical issues and the future direction. We also heard from our three investor professionals on their tips to ensure success and pitfalls to avoid.

Despite the train issues, the WCIT Hall was filled with Members and Non-Members and the buzz in the room following the discussion was testament to the excellent feedback received from all of the attendees. Tremendous insight, great clarity and sound advice captivated the audience. Thank you to Rob Wirszycz our Moderator and our guest speakers Kirsty Rutter, Ian Merricks, and John O’Connell for producing another memorable event here at the WCIT!
