The Lady Mayor’s Show – WCIT ladies in the procession!

As a new Livery year starts the WCIT congratulates Dame Susan Langley on her appointment as Lady Mayor. As the third woman ever to hold the office and the first to use the title of Lady Mayor, Dame Susan is putting the focus on women during her year. That focus was demonstrated in the Lady Mayor’s Show itself, held on Saturday 8 November, when 697 women took part reflecting the 697 years of the show, as well as the number of Lord Mayors to have held office.

The WCIT Ladies stepped out in style enjoying – and adding to – the fabulous energetic feminine feel of the day.  However, the WCIT’s involvement doesn’t end there! We are proud to be working closely with the Lady Mayor’s team on many technology-related projects. It promises to be an exciting and very special Mayoral year!
