Postponed – Armed Forces Committee: Royal Signals – Life After Horses

20th February 2023 from 6:30pm — 9:00pm • Information Technologists' Hall

*please note that this event has been postponed – we will update you once the new date has been confirmed*
The WCIT – Royal Signals affiliation is entering its fourth decade, and it remains a vibrant relationship.  For over a century the Royal Signals have provided information to the Army, in every operational theatre to which it has deployed.  The days of running line from horseback may have long passed, as have the daring displays of the White Helmets motorcycle display team, but in today’s congested and contested digital landscape the Army demands the same skill and bravery of its digital professionals not only to get the message Through but to win the information battle.
The assembled panel of serving Regular and Reserve officers and soldiers will offer insights to their vocation of signalling, and of the broader Army life.  Illuminated by a few war stories along the way – you’d expect no less –  gain a richer understanding of the modern Corps, the skills of its people and the challenges they face, to appreciate that our affiliation is an important one to nurture.
This event is free of charge to attend and light refreshments will be provide – voluntary contributions towards these will be accepted on the night.
