Medicine & Health and Entrepreneurship Panel Curry Supper

6th September 2023 from 6:00pm — 8:30pm • Information Technologists' Hall

Please note that bookings are now closed.

The Digital Health market is very vibrant especially with the global push to increase the use of technology to improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden of running health systems.

The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists’ Medicines & Health Panel, jointly with the Entrepreneurship Panel, is holding its annual update and discussion on the current state of M&A and financing activity in the digital health space, how the current economic environment and geopolitical issues are impacting valuations, and what areas of digital health are seeing the most activity.

One of our Liverymen, Jonathan Ishee, JD, MPH, MS, LLM, CIPP/US, a senior partner at Goodman, formerly Troutman Pepper, an Am Law 50 US law firm, together with his colleague Geoffrey Starr, will once again be in the UK and will provide us with their view on the trends, issues and overall state of the market, both here in Europe and in the USA. Goodwin is contributing to the costs of this event to make it an affordable evening with a meal.

This follows on from last year’s successful event which provided an excellent insight into the mergers & acquisitions of 2022. Eager participants learned how the Health Sector is now one of the largest and fastest growing areas of investment, particularly in Digital Health (DH). DH includes everything from wearables such as iWatch to the full provision of care including drug usage, and mental health. We are sure to learn about equally fascinating developments in this year’s update.

The discussion

The evening will commence with a hot buffet curry supper and then the discussion will begin with a presentation from Jonathan and Geoffrey highlighting the key issues trends in the market, and how their experience can offer some direction and insights into the Digital Health Technology market. The evening will allow you the opportunity to take part in the open forum throughout the presentation and consider how this critical market is evolving a has moved on since the previous discussion.
