Medicine & Health Panel Event: PhD Students (WCIT Bursary), Shamima Rahman & Shobia Khan Present Their Work So Far

Join the Medicine & Health Panel online on the 21st of July as they welcome two exceptional PhD students at the University of Leeds, who will be presenting their research progress.

Ted Rees (Chair of the M&H Panel) and James Maunder (Freeman, member of the M&H Panel) will be introducing Shamima and Sobia, who will share the exciting and impactful research they are conducting as part of their PhD studies.

Guest Speakers:

Shamima Rahman is exploring the use of AI to assess melanomas from whole slide images.

Sobia Khan is developing a clinically focused AI method for joint segmentation and registration of the brachial plexus from MRI scans, enabling rapid microstructural modelling for clinical analysis.
