Glaziers’ Hall, 9 Montague Cl, London SE1 9DD

Glaziers’ Hall was built in 1808, it adjoins London Bridge and the so-called ‘Nancy Steps’ made famous by Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. The Glaziers’ Company acquired it in the 1970s and it has been their home since then. It is the only Livery Hall south of the Thames.

Alderman Alastair King DL
Alastair is an Alderman of the City of London who served as Sheriff in 2022/23. He qualified as a solicitor in the City in 1995. Alastair was elected to the Court of Common Council for the Ward of Queenhithe in 1999. He was appointed Deputy in 2006 and then elected as Alderman in 2016. Alistair is a Past Prime Warden of the Blacksmiths (his Mother company), the current Master of the Masons (the Stonemasons), a Court Assistant of the Broderers, the Painter-Stainers and the Coachmakers as well as a Liveryman of the Arbitrators, the Horners and the Feltmakers. He is also a Freeman of the Vintners and the Company of Investment Managers, and a Warden of the Company of Entrepreneurs, where he is the Sponsoring Alderman. In February 2022, Alastair was commissioned as a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London.
