Some journeys to the top don’t look like anyone imagined.

Women’s refuge to Forbes Global Top 50 Women in Tech. Failed musician to top 10 UK CIO. Two women. Thirty years of friendship. A combined career story that will stop you in your tracks.

Join us for an extraordinary evening as Sue Black OBE, Professor of Computer Science and Technology Evangelist at Durham University, and Sarah Winmill, President of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and senior digital leader in the Ministry of Defence working with the Royal Navy, come together for a candid, wide-ranging fireside chat about what it really takes to reach the top: the setbacks, the pivots, the people who made the difference, and the moments that changed everything.

Both are Liverymen of WCIT. Both have spent decades championing women in tech. And between them, they have lived more than most people could imagine.

This isn’t a polished panel. It’s an honest conversation between two women who’ve been through it, and come out the other side with something real to say.

There will be time for your questions, space to connect, and a chance to learn more about WCIT and our community over drinks and refreshments.

This event is open to all women members of WCIT, their guests, and any woman curious about joining us.

Doors open at 6:00pm. Tickets are £25

Come for the stories. Stay for the community. Leave inspired.
