In an era where “AI” is often synonymous with “efficiency,” the true measure of progress for social value leaders is not just what AI can do, but what it should do. In this session Rashik will move beyond the initial hype of innovation to explore the Responsible Computing framework as a roadmap for ethical stewardship.

He will examine the intersection of technological advancement and social responsibility, focusing on how the WCIT can lead the charge in mitigating algorithmic bias, ensuring environmental sustainability, and fostering digital equity. By pivoting from “Innovation at all costs” to “Responsibility by design,” participants will gain actionable insights into aligning AI deployments with the core values of public benefit and long-term social impact.
