Founded in 1610, Lambeth Palace Library, “Bibliotecha Lambethana”,  is the National Library and Archive of the Church of England. It was one of the first public libraries in the UK.

The mission of the Library is to collect, preserve and make accessible the memory of the Church of England, so its cultural and religious history can be enjoyed by all.

The Archive was amalgamated in 2020 in a permanent purpose-built home at the Palace.

We will be guided through the archive and exhibitions over the course of two hours.

We will be asking attendees to consider making a £10 donation on the day to support.
