The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists’ (WCIT) Financial Services Technology Panel is proud to announce its landmark annual keynote dinner.

• to address critical topics affecting the City of London and the broader UK financial sector by convening voices at the forefront of finance, regulation, and technology.

• to raise funds for our flagship charitable programme, Project Pathway, which promotes greater diversity and access to careers in Financial Services Technology.

This annual gathering will feature a keynote address by one of the most influential voices in global finance today — Sir Charles Roxburgh KCB, Chair of Lloyd’s. In this timely and thought-provoking address, Charles will explore how the Lloyd’s market is building on more than 337 years of innovation to position itself in a rapidly changing world. A market of firsts – helping global commerce flourish by allowing risk to be pooled and shared, Lloyd’s is a key pillar of risk management in the global financial system. The risk landscape demands that a storied institution such as Lloyd’s raise the bar and fulfil its purpose of bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress. The session will address Lloyd’s new strategy – disciplined and market-led, with a necessary sharpening of its financial edge to maximise its unique capital advantage. The speech will outline how Lloyd’s is uniquely structured to connect the global insurance ecosystem, consistently turning emerging threats into insurable realities, thereby advancing and protecting its position as the pre-eminent global marketplace for insurance risk.

Charity in Focus: Project ITPathfinder (www.itpathfinder.org.uk) Proceeds support Project ITPathfinder, which helps secondary students, especially from underrepresented backgrounds, explore careers in Financial Services IT. Despite technology’s presence in daily life, many remain unaware of career options in financial tech. Project ITPathfinder closes this gap through insight days, mentoring, and career guidance, creating pathways into employment for diverse youth. This is crucial as the sector faces a digital skills shortage, and we aim to develop a workforce that reflects society.
