Join the Space Technology Working Group on 28 April 2026, from 12:10 to 12:55, for a webinar on Securing Space: Challenges and Opportunities.

A 24-hour loss of space-based services—primarily Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS)—is estimated to cost the UK economy between £1 billion and £1.42 billion. With around 20% of UK GDP reliant on satellite services for timing, positioning, and navigation, such a disruption would have a significant impact on transport, financial services, and emergency operations.

Our speaker, Elliot Thornton, Space Resilience Manager in the UK Space Agency’s Security & Resilience Team, will provide a UK Space Agency perspective on the key challenges and opportunities in space security, followed by a Q&A session.
